Gold River Marina

OLD RIVER MARINA is situated along the south shore of Nova Scotia on Mahone Bay. We are a premier provider of Marina and Yard Services to the recreational sailing yacht and power boat market. We have 53 slips, with the ability to handle in excess of 200 yachts for dry storage. The facility has a large building available for construction and maintenance of boats up to 65', while the yard is equipped with a marine railway of 50 ton capacity. The railway has been fitted with a strap system allowing for flexibility in hauling of smaller boats to twenty tons. A second railway is suitably sited for future launching facilities.

For the area's seasonal residents, one of the main problems is the logistics of spring commissioning and fall decommissioning within a short period in residence. Gold River Marina will offer a "turn key" package to seasonal residents whereby we manage all aspects of maintenance and commissioning on behalf of the customer in the spring and deliver the boat to their mooring just prior to their visit. When folks only have a short time to spend on holiday, they don't want to be messing around maintaining, servicing, cleaning and launching their boats; they want to use them. When they leave, we'll remove the boat safely back to Gold River Marina storage.

Mahone Bay offers very clean ocean water and many secluded coves and islands. We believe that Mahone Bay is uniquely suited for classic yachting and that capabilities for restoration and refit in the Maritimes are under developed. With this in mind, we have founded Gold River Marina to be the premium marina and services provider in Mahone Bay.
